Job Title

Senior Solutions Engineer - FPGA/PCIe

Role Summary

Design and deliver hardware/software co-design solutions for ASIC/FPGA-based acceleration across networking, storage, automotive, aerospace, and AI/ML workloads. Work on high-performance hardware acceleration engines and the embedded software that orchestrates them, from architecture through validation and productization.

Work with architects, hardware, and firmware teams to implement, verify, and validate IP and subsystem integrations for next-generation compute platforms.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting does not specify years of experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in all phases of product development: exploration, architecture, implementation, prototyping, verification, productization, and support.
  • Collaborate with architects, hardware, and firmware engineers to define and implement new features.
  • RTL development: design, verify, and validate high-performance logic using SystemVerilog/Verilog, focusing on data and control paths.
  • Implement designs for PCIe (Gen6/7), CXL, UAL, Ethernet, and DDR5/6 interfaces.
  • System-level integration using standard ASIC flows and AMD (Xilinx) Vivado ecosystem to integrate custom IP with subsystems.
  • Pre-silicon verification and emulation to ensure functional correctness and performance.
  • Lead post-silicon bring-up and lab validation; debug interactions between embedded software and hardware fabric.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed where applicable.

  • Hands-on experience with ASIC and FPGA development.
  • Expert in SystemVerilog/Verilog, synchronous design, and timing closure for high-speed logic.
  • Knowledge of PCIe, AXI, DDR, and Ethernet protocols; familiarity with CXL or UAL is desirable.
  • Familiarity with UVM-based verification frameworks and emulation platforms (e.g., Palladium, Protium, Zebu).
  • Experience in hardware debugging and lab bring-up for post-silicon validation.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation: Python, Tcl, Makefiles, and Shell.
  • Note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship; candidates must have appropriate work authorization.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (as stated in the posting).
