Senior Software Validation Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Software Validation Engineer will lead end-to-end validation and release qualification for next-generation AI accelerator platforms. The role covers system validation across hardware, firmware, drivers, SDKs, runtimes, compilers and Linux platforms and requires cross-functional coordination and mentoring.

Primary mission: ensure product quality through automated validation, performance benchmarking, and release sign-off for AI/ML workloads.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 10+ years of system/platform/semiconductor validation experience.

Responsibilities

Lead validation strategy and execution across platform layers and AI workloads. Key responsibilities include:

• Define validation strategy, test plans, and release qualification criteria.
• Lead validation across hardware, firmware, drivers, SDKs, runtimes, compilers, and Linux platforms.
• Validate AI/ML workloads including LLMs, VLMs, computer vision, NLP and generative AI.
• Develop and maintain automated validation frameworks using Python and CI/CD.
• Perform functional, performance, stress, scalability and reliability testing and benchmarking.
• Drive root-cause analysis, performance characterization, and release sign-off.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution; preferred items listed after.

• 10+ years in system, platform, or semiconductor validation.
• Proficient in Python and Bash; experience in C/C++.
• Experience with Linux, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience building validation automation, performance benchmarking, and debugging workflows.
• Hands-on with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX Runtime) and AI inference validation.
• Knowledge of PCIe, embedded Linux, device drivers, networking, and AI accelerators.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to lead cross-functional investigations and mentor engineers.

Nice-to-have: prior experience validating AI accelerators or semiconductor products at scale.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field. The posting also indicates experience with AI accelerator or semiconductor product validation is highly preferred.
