Job Title

Senior Software ML Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for designing and implementing software for ML systems across the software stack, including ML compilation, frameworks, drivers and embedded runtime components. The role works within a small engineering team and closely with ML hardware engineers to optimise system partitioning and performance.

Experience Level

Senior β€” experienced engineer expected to lead larger work-packages and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Deliver production-quality software and lead technical workstreams focused on ML system software and performance.

  • Design and implement features in ML compilation technology and framework software.
  • Develop kernel and user-space driver stacks and real-time embedded software.
  • Create and maintain test automation and performance evaluation infrastructure.
  • Lead larger work-packages, set technical direction, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with ML hardware teams to achieve optimal system partitioning and performance.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Proven development experience on cross-team projects with milestones and dependencies.
  • Must-have: Strong programming skills in C, C++ and Python.
  • Must-have: Source control experience (Git, Gerrit, Repo).
  • Must-have: Experience with agile software development, continuous integration and test-driven development.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with machine learning applications and frameworks.
  • Nice-to-have: Compiler development experience and awareness of hardware architecture principles.
  • Nice-to-have: Open source software development experience.
