Senior Software Engineer (P3) — Virtual Platforms & IDE Integration

Role Summary

Integrate SystemC virtual platforms into CodeFusion Studio (ADI's VS Code–based IDE) to enable early software development and device configuration before silicon is available. Work with modeling, software, and hardware teams to align virtual platforms with silicon behavior and deliver simulation and tooling infrastructure used by internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

Deliver and support virtual-platform integration and developer workflows within the IDE.

  • Integrate SystemC virtual platforms into CodeFusion Studio and related workflows.
  • Develop C++ and Python components for simulation, tooling, and automation.
  • Collaborate with modeling, software, and hardware teams to align models with silicon behavior.
  • Enable early software development, validation, and system configuration workflows.
  • Implement best practices: version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and debugging.
  • Support internal teams and customers with adoption and troubleshooting.

Requirements

Core technical requirements and preferred skills.

  • 3+ years experience in software development or system-level modeling.
  • Strong programming experience in C++ and Python.
  • Proficiency with git and modern development workflows (testing, CI/CD).
  • Experience with SystemC or similar simulation frameworks; understanding of model-based design.
  • Ability to collaborate across modeling, software, and hardware teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • Nice-to-have: virtual platforms or SoC modeling, embedded software development experience, IDE tooling or VS Code extension development.
