Senior Software Engineer - NIC and Switch Simulation
Role Summary
Join the Simulation development team to design and implement NIC and switch models used for verification and software development. Work closely with software R&D, architects, chip design and firmware teams to deliver accurate, maintainable simulation solutions.
Experience Level
Senior level — typically 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and implement advanced features for NIC and switch simulation.
- Develop solutions leveraging virtualization technologies and integrate them into the simulation environment.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable C/C++ code.
- Collaborate with software R&D, architects, chip design and firmware teams.
- Own features end-to-end from design through delivery and maintenance.
Requirements
Key qualifications — must-have and preferred.
Must-have:
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficient in C/C++.
- Strong design, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to take full ownership of features and drive them to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Understanding of networking protocols (Ethernet, InfiniBand).
- Experience with virtualization (KVM/QEMU).
- Experience with Linux/Windows kernel or device driver development.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work independently.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
