Senior Software Engineer - ICPE

Role Summary

Develop tools, runtime libraries, and infrastructure for Integrated Circuit (IC) test and product engineering within the Networking Business Unit. The role focuses on automation, test-program architecture, and test-house/vendor integration to accelerate time-to-market for network silicon products (Switch, NIC, SmartNIC).

Experience Level

Senior — typically 5+ years of professional software engineering experience; strong ownership and autonomy expected.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and maintain runtime infrastructure libraries for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) systems.
• Improve and extend test program architecture and infrastructure for next-generation products.
• Integrate new test capabilities by collaborating with ATE vendors and contract manufacturers.
• Work cross-functionally with design, product, test engineering, and operations to improve product quality and reduce time-to-market.
• Support characterization and data-analysis workflows related to test infrastructure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and qualities:

• Expertise in Java.
• High proficiency with Git and modern software development practices.
• Strong communication skills and experience working across diverse technical teams.
• Self-motivated, fast learner with high execution standards and strong ownership.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Advantest SmartTest8.
• Real-time or embedded development experience.
• C#/.NET, VBA or VB6 familiarity.
• Background in semiconductor testing, HW/SW interfaces, or ATE test infrastructure development.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field (BS or higher in Computer Science or related field is specified in the posting).
