Job Title

Senior Software Engineer - GPU

Role Summary

Join the GPU System Software team to develop system-level display features from proof-of-concept through production, focusing on hardware/software co-design and energy-efficient consumer products. The role owns feature lifecycle activities including design, architecture, algorithm implementation, and pre/post-silicon optimization.

Experience Level

Senior level. The posting requests 5+ years of industry experience in system software or a related field.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing display features and driving architecture and optimization across teams.

  • Define, prototype (POC), design, and implement display features based on standards such as VESA DisplayPort (including DP 2.1), HDMI, and eDP.
  • Own feature development lifecycle including algorithm implementation and pre-/post-silicon optimization.
  • Develop and drive complex optimization strategies across multiple teams and technical disciplines.
  • Create internal architecture and design specifications to influence next-generation GPU/SoC and platform architecture.
  • Collaborate with local and remote engineering teams and coordinate with OEM/ODM partners.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience, plus a few desirable qualifications.

  • 5+ years of industry experience in system software or a closely related area.
  • Strong programming skills in C and deep knowledge of low-level interfaces.
  • Solid background in operating system internals, device drivers, and real‑time/embedded OS concepts.
  • Proven ability in complex system-level debugging and cross-discipline problem solving.
  • Experience working directly with hardware designers and driver engineers to define and implement features.
  • Strong algorithms and data structures knowledge.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to meet objectives under tight deadlines.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with display pipeline technologies (VESA, HDMI, DP, eDP, PSR, FreeSync), SoC/GPU display architecture and power/optimization techniques, and kernel module or driver development.

Education Requirements

B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
