Job Title

Senior Software Engineer, Chips System Software

Role Summary

Join the Chips System Software organization to design and develop chip-specific kernel drivers and embedded software. The role focuses on Linux kernel development, core OS enablement, platform bring-up, and automation across pre-silicon and silicon platforms.

You will collaborate with hardware, silicon, pre-silicon, and software teams to enable new chip platforms from early modeling through production deployment.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 8+ years of relevant software development experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include design, implementation, and platform enablement for next-generation chips.

  • Design, develop, and verify features for next-generation chip architectures and kernel drivers.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and produce design specifications that influence hardware and system-software design.
  • Lead platform bring-up across simulation, emulation, FPGA, and silicon with hardware and pre-silicon teams.
  • Enable Linux and core OS software across modeling and physical platforms.
  • Debug and resolve complex hardware/software integration issues across multiple stack layers.
  • Drive projects end-to-end with technical ownership from design through deployment.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.
