Role Summary
Join the Questa Sim R&D team at Siemens EDA in Santa Clara to design, architect, and implement advanced algorithms and high-performance simulation software for chip design workflows. Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include algorithm design, core engineering, and collaboration with internal teams and customers to deliver robust simulation solutions.
- Design and implement novel algorithms and software architectures for simulation tools.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain production-quality components, engines, and codebases.
- Analyze and solve complex software and performance problems in collaboration with senior engineers.
- Contribute architectural direction for open-ended problem scopes and new features.
- Work with Mil-Aero customers to implement fit-for-purpose technical flows and integrations.
Requirements

- Strong proficiency in C/C++ with deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Proven experience in software architecture: conceptualizing, defining, and implementing solutions for open-ended problems.
- Expertise in compiler concepts and optimizations.
- Experience developing on UNIX/Linux platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to deliver independently and take ownership.
Nice-to-have:
- Basic knowledge of digital electronics and hardware description languages (SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL).
- Familiarity with parallel algorithms and job distribution techniques.
- Exposure to simulation or formal-based verification methodologies.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
