Job Title

Senior Software Engineer, AI Speed Infrastructure

Role Summary

Join the Tegra developer infrastructure team to build AI-native, high-performance build, test, and validation pipelines. The role focuses on designing CI control planes, fast feedback loops, and integrating AI agents to improve developer and agent turn-times for large, safety-critical C/C++ codebases.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 8+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Design and operate next-generation, AI-enabled CI and validation workflows that prioritize speed, reliability, and automation.

  • Build AI-native, self-healing CI workflows for large Tegra C/C++ codebases.
  • Design fast build, test, and validation paths to keep developers and agents in tight loops.
  • Integrate reasoning agents to triage failures, recommend fixes, and automate routine recovery safely.
  • Improve incremental builds, caching, remote execution, and test selection.
  • Integrate simulation, emulation, and device-backed testing into trustworthy CI pipelines.
  • Define machine-readable outputs, policies, and recovery paths consumable by agents at scale.
  • Package workflows and platform capabilities for reuse by other teams and drive adoption through metrics, documentation, and enablement.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • Strong systems and build architecture experience for large C/C++ codebases.
  • Deep experience with build systems, CI orchestration, and test strategy.
  • Practical experience using AI coding tools and agent workflows in daily development.
  • Proficiency with Python and scripting for workflow automation and tooling.
  • Ability to reason about safety-critical or high-assurance validation flows.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience building or scaling CI/build systems for large monorepos or embedded platforms.
  • Proven improvements in feedback loop latency or signal quality.
  • Work on speed infrastructure for AI coding agents, autonomous validation, or high-throughput CI.
  • Experience with hardware/device-lab testing, remote execution, or change-based test selection.
  • Delivered internal AI-assisted developer workflows adopted by other engineers.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
