Senior Software Engineer
Role Summary
Hands-on software engineer in the Infrastructure Solutions Software team (CE-SW) working on Neoverse cloud and data-center platforms. The role develops SoC, firmware and system software from pre-silicon through silicon bring-up to production readiness.
Work spans low-level software and cross-team collaboration with hardware, architecture and system teams to deliver production-quality infrastructure software.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing, implementing and debugging low-level software across pre-silicon and silicon environments, and collaborating with hardware and architecture teams to resolve issues.
- Design, develop and debug SoC, firmware and system software across pre-silicon and silicon environments.
- Translate requirements and architecture specifications into robust, testable software solutions.
- Investigate complex technical issues, identify root causes and implement fixes across hardware/software boundaries.
- Contribute to software design, code quality, testing and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with hardware, software and architecture teams to drive integration and production readiness.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required for successful performance in this role.
- Proven experience developing system software in embedded or infrastructure SoC environments.
- Strong knowledge of low-level systems: bootloaders, device drivers, OS fundamentals (preferably Linux), and computer architecture.
- Strong C programming skills (or equivalent language); experience debugging and optimising low-level software.
- Experience diagnosing and solving problems that cross hardware and software boundaries.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work effectively across engineering teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Linux kernel, Trusted Firmware-A (TF-A), UEFI EDK II or KVM.
- Knowledge of server-class SoCs (RAS, power management, PCIe, CXL, memory, virtualization).
- Experience with BMC software and server manageability technologies, including Yocto and Redfish.
