Senior Software Development Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Software Security Engineering team to design and implement embedded firmware and device drivers that enable security features across AMD platforms. Work spans pre-silicon and post-silicon development and requires close collaboration with hardware, software, and validation teams.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Belgrade with a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include system-level software development, design reviews, and cross-team delivery.
- Design and implement embedded firmware to enable security features using security co-processors.
- Develop security software features and enhancements for upcoming ASICs in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Participate in design reviews, architectural discussions, code reviews, and validation activities.
- Debug complex issues across software and hardware boundaries and drive robust solutions.
- Drive resolution of customer, quality, and certification issues.
- Work within AGILE processes and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience, followed by preferred skills.
- Must-have: Strong low-level development experience in C/C++ and concurrent programming.
- Must-have: Embedded firmware development experience on ARM, RISC-V, or x86 microprocessors.
- Must-have: Experience with operating system development (Windows, Linux, and/or Android) and debugging across SW/HW boundaries.
- Must-have: Ability to write high-quality code, collaborate with teams, and communicate effectively.
- Preferred: Knowledge of platform security concepts (TPM, Secure Boot, TEE/ARM TrustZone, virtualization).
- Preferred: Familiarity with applied cryptography and security protocols (AES, SHA, RSA) and DRM/multimedia playback.
- Preferred: Experience with pre-silicon validation (FPGAs or simulation) and ASIC bring-up.
