Senior Software Developer — ILT (Inverse Lithography)

Role Summary

Join the Calibre ILT R&D team in Munich to design, implement, and improve scalable software for resolution enhancement and inverse lithography used by semiconductor manufacturers. The role focuses on building high-performance, distributed C++ systems and reports to the Calibre Semi ILT R&D Manager.

Responsibilities

Deliver production-quality C++ software, improve platform performance, and contribute to technical design and testing of large-scale distributed lithography tools.

  • Design and implement solutions for lithography and optical proximity correction (OPC).
  • Develop and maintain production-ready C++ code for massively parallel, scalable systems.
  • Perform detailed quantitative analysis of software performance and implement optimizations.
  • Create and maintain regression tests and monitor software quality.
  • Research relevant technical literature and propose technical approaches.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals to peers and management.
  • Diagnose and fix bugs in production software quickly.

Requirements

Core technical skills and domain experience required or preferred.

  • Must-have: Strong object-oriented C++ proficiency and experience with Linux development.
  • Must-have: Ability to navigate and extend large, complex codebases.
  • Must-have: Experience developing and optimizing scalable, distributed systems in C++.
  • Must-have: Solid grasp of algorithms, computer systems, and software performance analysis.

Education Requirements
