Job Title

Senior Software Developer – ILT (Inverse Lithography)

Role Summary

Develop and maintain the Calibre Resolution Enhancement Technology (RET) and Inverse Lithography (ILT) software platform, focusing on highly scalable, parallel distributed systems. The role reports to the Calibre Semi ILT R&D manager and works with R&D peers to deliver production-grade EDA software.

Responsibilities

The role combines design, implementation, performance analysis, and production support for large-scale EDA software.

  • Design and propose technical solutions for complex problems.
  • Implement production-quality C++ software following object-oriented principles.
  • Analyze and improve performance and quality of massively parallel, scalable software.
  • Create and maintain regression tests; monitor software quality and performance metrics.
  • Research relevant algorithms and prior work; apply findings to product improvements.
  • Diagnose and quickly resolve production issues and bugs.
  • Collaborate with peers and management on technical plans and design reviews.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in C++ and object-oriented software design.
  • Experience developing highly optimized, scalable distributed systems.
  • Strong Linux development experience and familiarity with large codebases.
  • Solid understanding of computer systems, algorithms, and performance analysis.
  • Experience writing regression tests and performing quantitative software quality checks.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and fix production software issues.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in EDA, lithography, inverse lithography (ILT), or optical proximity correction (OPC).
  • Experience developing features for large, complex software systems.

Education Requirements
