Job Title
Senior SOCD Applied AI Engineer
Role Summary
The SOC Design (SOCD) team seeks an Applied AI Engineer to build AI-powered tools, agents, and automation that reduce SOC integration cycle time and manual effort. You will partner with SOCD execution and methodology teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver production-grade AI services integrated with internal design infrastructure.
Experience Level
Senior level. The role expects senior experience; the posting indicates approximately 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver and operate AI-enabled systems that accelerate SOC integration workflows and developer productivity.
- Develop LLM-powered tools for tasks such as design review summarization, signoff aggregation, checklist enforcement, CI/CD gating, and cross-team status reporting.
- Build and deploy retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems grounded in internal documentation and execution artifacts.
- Design AI-assisted coding workflows and agent-based developer tools, including prompt templates and reusable skills.
- Implement reliability and evaluation practices: logging, tracing, prompt regression testing, and output validation.
- Collaborate with execution and methodology teams to scope problems, validate solutions, and define productivity metrics for deployed automation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role.
- Proven track record shipping AI/LLM-powered applications, agents, or automation into production.
- Strong Python skills for designing, prototyping, and productizing AI services, APIs, integrations, and automation workflows.
- Hands-on experience with LLM application frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) and RAG architectures, including chunking, embeddings, vector DBs, and retrieval design.
- Practical experience building agentic workflows or coding agents (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or equivalent) to improve development workflows.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals: system and API design, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, databases, containers, and distributed/event-driven systems.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership from architecture through deployment and ongoing operations/support.
- Ability to identify repetitive or knowledge-intensive workflows and translate them into practical AI-enabled tools that improve productivity.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
