Senior SOC Verification Engineer - Networking

Role Summary

Work on verification of NVIDIA Smart-NICs and DPUs within the Networking Chip Design team in Bengaluru. The role covers pre-silicon, emulation and post-silicon verification activities for cluster/sub-system/SOC level projects.

The engineer will collaborate with architects, designers, emulation, software and QA teams to build verification models, infrastructure and automated flows that improve hardware quality and delivery velocity.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include integration, verification infrastructure development, and cross-team coordination for SOC-level networking designs.

• Integrate IPs and deliver verification models for cluster/sub-system/SOC and emulation milestones.
• Design and implement verification infrastructure and automated flows to support multi-IP integration.
• Develop and execute verification plans using advanced methodologies (e-specman, SV-UVM, etc.).
• Write and maintain scripts and utilities to support verification (Python, Perl, shell).
• Work with design and QA teams to improve test coverage and hardware quality.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams across time zones for verification activities.

Requirements

• Must-have: 4+ years of experience in design verification.
• Must-have: Strong understanding of logic design and micro-architecture.
• Must-have: Strong coding skills in SystemVerilog and C++, plus scripting (Python, Perl, shell).
• Must-have: Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog and simulation tools (Cadence or equivalent) and debug tools (Indago, GDB).
• Must-have: Experience with cluster/sub-system/fullchip/SOC-level verification environments.
• Must-have: Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and disciplines.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience with SmartNICs/DPU or high-speed interconnects.
• Nice-to-have: Strong debugging, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (EEE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is specified in the posting.
