Senior SOC Verification Engineer - Networking
Role Summary
Verify NVIDIA Smart‑NICs and DPUs at the SOC level, covering pre‑silicon, emulation and post‑silicon activities. Work on integration, verification infrastructure, and automated flows for cluster/subsystem/SOC verification.
Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, emulation teams, software teams and QA to deliver verification models and improve hardware quality.
Experience Level
Senior - typically requires 4+ years of experience in design verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Integrate IPs and deliver verification models for cluster, subsystem, SOC and emulation milestones.
- Design and implement verification infrastructure and automated flows to support multi‑IP integration.
- Develop and execute verification using advanced methodologies (e‑specman, SV‑UVM).
- Write and maintain scripts and testbenches (Python, Perl, shell) to automate verification tasks.
- Collaborate with architecture and design teams and partner with QA to improve test coverage and hardware quality.
- Coordinate verification activities with cross‑functional teams across time zones.
- Participate in pre‑silicon, emulation and post‑silicon verification as required.
Requirements
Core must-have skills and experience:
- Strong understanding of digital logic design and architecture.
- Proficient in SystemVerilog and RTL verification concepts.
- Strong coding skills in C++ and scripting languages (Python, Perl).
- Experience with verification and simulation tools (Verilog/SV, Cadence or equivalent) and debug tools such as Indago or GDB.
- Experience with cluster/subsystem/full‑chip/SOC‑level verification environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple engineering teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with SmartNICs, DPUs, or high‑speed interconnects.
- Strong debugging, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Advanced scripting and automation experience (Python/Perl/shell).
- Proven interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (EEE) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE). The posting also specifies approximately 4+ years of experience in design verification.
