Senior SOC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead verification of networking System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, focusing on design, architecture and micro-architecture validation. Work closely with architects, hardware designers, firmware and software engineers across sites to develop verification infrastructure and ensure silicon quality.

Experience Level

Senior — 8+ years of SOC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Technically lead a team of verification engineers and set verification direction.
• Define verification scope and develop verification infrastructure for SOC clock networks.
• Verify design, architecture and micro-architecture of complex networking SoCs.
• Verify firmware code and hardware/firmware interactions, including boot and reset sequences.
• Develop verification plans, reusable verification components and testbenches.
• Apply random stimulus, functional coverage and assertion-based verification methodologies.
• Debug complex failures, perform root-cause analysis and drive fixes across teams.
• Collaborate with architects, designers and software engineers to close verification gaps.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

• Proficiency in verification methodologies and building reusable verification components.
• Experience with random stimulus, functional coverage and assertion-based verification.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming using SystemVerilog.
• Proficiency with UVM.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Technical leadership experience.
• Prior verification experience related to clock networks.
• Experience debugging embedded boot and reset sequences.
• Experience writing verification plans and guiding their execution.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field — or equivalent practical experience.
