Job Title

Senior SoC Software Engineer

Role Summary

Join a team building and maintaining software for complex heterogeneous SoC and system platforms used in data center and accelerated computing products. The role spans firmware, kernel, user space, and system-level validation to improve performance, reliability, power efficiency, and serviceability from early silicon through large-scale deployment.

Experience Level

Senior - 8+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include software development, validation, and cross-functional debugging for SoC and platform bring-up and qualification.

  • Design and implement SoC software, validation tools, and test frameworks across user space, kernel, firmware, and boot software.
  • Develop system validation and reliability software to accelerate transition from prototypes and first silicon to production and field deployment.
  • Improve software used for design validation, thermal and power characterization, manufacturing screening, and platform bring-up.
  • Lead root-cause analysis of complex board- and system-level failures spanning hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware teams, customers, and partners to deliver next-generation computing platforms.

Requirements

Core qualifications and skills for successful candidates.

Must-have:

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience in system/SoC software or platform bring-up.
  • Strong C and C++ programming skills, including object-oriented design and development.
  • Experience with low-level systems software, device drivers, firmware, or hardware-facing programming.
  • Strong understanding of processor architecture fundamentals; ARM experience preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multi-layer debugging skills for complex hardware/software issues.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and planning skills with ability to lead technical initiatives.

Nice-to-have:

  • Deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals and ARM-based platforms.
  • Experience with pre-silicon or post-silicon bring-up and large-scale validation for data-center or AI infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience applying AI, automation, or data-driven techniques to accelerate validation and failure analysis.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering - or equivalent practical experience. (The posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.)
