Job Title
Senior SoC / RTL Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join Arm's Solutions Engineering Front End design team to specify, design, and verify SoC IPs and compute subsystems across markets such as mobile, server, IoT and automotive. The team integrates Arm and selected third‑party IP to deliver optimized subsystem solutions.
Experience Level
Senior-level engineer. The role expects substantial prior experience in RTL and SoC design (senior/lead contributions).
Responsibilities
You will contribute across specification, RTL implementation, verification support, and implementation tuning to deliver high-quality subsystem and IP designs.
- Write micro‑architecture specifications for IPs and subsystems.
- Develop RTL in SystemVerilog/Verilog and perform design checks.
- Collaborate with verification teams to review test plans and debug design issues.
- Work with implementation teams to optimise designs for synthesis and physical implementation.
- Perform static checks, CDC and power-domain analysis; address synthesis issues.
- Plan and track tasks, report status, and ensure timely delivery.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience expected for immediate contribution.
- Hands-on experience with SystemVerilog or Verilog for RTL design.
- Proven RTL design experience for complex SoC development and processor-based systems.
- Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools and synthesis methodologies.
- Experience with static design checks, clock- and power-domain crossing techniques, and synthesis flows.
- Scripting proficiency (Python, Perl or Unix shell) for automation and tooling.
- Strong communication skills and ability to write clear specifications and technical documentation.
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to Arm architectures and AMBA protocols.
- High-level programming experience (C/C++ and/or assembly).
- Functional Safety / ISO 26262 experience and RAS design knowledge.
- Experience with low-power RTL methodologies and UPF/CFP techniques (power gating, retention, DVFS).
