Senior SoC RTL Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and deliver digital RTL for Mythic's SoC infrastructure and high-performance system-level blocks. The role owns architecture, microarchitecture, and RTL implementation for complex on-chip subsystems.
Work cross-functionally with system architecture, software, DFT, and analog teams to drive methodologies and enable first-pass silicon success. Opportunity to engage with deep neural network integration on novel chip architectures.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ownership of system-level digital design and driving methods to ensure robust silicon delivery.
- Design, implement, and maintain RTL for system-level SoC infrastructure and high-performance blocks.
- Define and own architecture and microarchitecture for assigned blocks, including interfaces and integration points.
- Drive methodologies and design-for-first-pass success practices across design teams.
- Implement and support Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Debug (DFD) features required for production silicon.
- Collaborate with system architecture, software, DFT, and analog teams to integrate functionality and meet system goals.
- Work on clocking, reset strategies, and timing-related implementation to meet performance and reliability requirements.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 3+ years of industry experience in RTL and SoC development.
- Strong RTL, microarchitecture, and system architecture experience on advanced SoCs.
- Experience with Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Debug (DFD) logic (e.g., fuse controllers, memory BIST, scan dump).
- Experience with clocking and reset methodologies.
- Understanding of timing constraints and timing-driven design.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working at startups.
- Experience with RTL design for clock domain crossings.
- Familiarity with Python or Ruby.
- Experience with regression systems and revision control workflows.
- Comfortable working from the command line.
Education Requirements
BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (EE/CS/CSE) as listed in the posting.
