Role Summary

Lead verification of complex SoC features and subsystems to achieve silicon sign-off. The role requires driving verification methodology, developing testbenches and regressions, debugging at RTL and system levels, and coordinating with architecture, firmware, emulation, and validation teams.

Mentor and guide verification engineers and drive delivery toward program milestones such as LSB, LSC, LSD, and Tape-Out.

Experience Level

Senior β€” the posting requests a senior engineer with substantial experience; the role references a minimum of 12+ years in ASIC design verification.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include ownership of SoC verification, development of verification assets, and cross-functional sign-off activities.

  • Own end-to-end verification of key SoC features and system-level scenarios.
  • Develop and execute verification plans, testbenches, and regression strategies.
  • Drive functional, code, assertion, and scenario coverage closure.
  • Lead SoC/IP integration verification and sign-off activities.
  • Debug complex RTL, architecture, testbench, and firmware interactions.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, RTL, Firmware, Emulation, Platform, and Validation teams.
  • Improve verification methodology, automation, and productivity.
  • Support pre-silicon bring-up, emulation, and post-silicon debug.
  • Mentor and technically guide MTS/SDE engineers.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • Minimum ~12+ years of ASIC design verification experience (as specified by the employer).
  • Strong expertise in SoC verification methodologies, SystemVerilog, and UVM.
  • Experience with SoC/IP verification environments, VIPs, UVCs, and BFMs.
  • Proven debugging skills with industry-standard simulation and verification tools.
  • Knowledge of functional and code coverage methodologies and coverage closure techniques.
  • Understanding of SoC architecture topics: interconnects, memory subsystems, security, power management, and performance features.
  • Familiarity with scripting (Python/Perl/Shell), regression automation, and version control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead integration/sign-off activities and collaborate across functions.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior/mid-level verification engineers.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering.
