Senior SOC Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the NVIDIA System-On-Chip (SOC) team in Bengaluru to lead RTL integration and chip-level front-end design for Tegra SOCs. The role focuses on SOC assembly, padring/pinmux interactions, retiming and automation to optimize SOC creation and delivery across chip milestones.
Work closely with system architecture, ASIC units, physical design, CAD, package, and DFT teams to define methodologies and drive execution.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 4+ years of relevant chip design experience (SOC integration, RTL and design automation).
Responsibilities
The engineer will own SOC assembly, front-end quality checks, cross-team execution, and development of system-level methodologies and tools.
- Drive SOC assembly and design chip-level functions for Tegra SOCs.
- Perform front-end design quality and correctness checks; lead reviews with cross-functional teams.
- Manage SOC execution across chip milestones; define, track, and drive complex dependencies.
- Define and develop system-level methodologies, tools, and IP to improve SOC scalability and efficiency.
- Identify front-end implementation inefficiencies and propose and implement solutions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 4+ years of proven chip design experience focused on SOC integration and design automation.
- RTL design experience (Verilog) and familiarity with SOC design/implementation flow.
- Strong scripting skills (Perl, Python, or similar).
- Exposure to multiple chip-design functions and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; effective teamwork.
Nice-to-have:
- Padring and fuse/floorsweep design experience.
- Background in SOC verification, synthesis, physical design, and DFT.
- Experience with RTL build flows and Makefiles.
Education Requirements
B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics Engineering.
