Job Title

Senior Signal and Power Integrity Engineer - Hardware

Role Summary

Senior SI/PI engineer responsible for developing and validating signal and power integrity solutions for high-speed systems across ASIC, package and PCB domains. The role emphasizes simulation, lab measurement and cross-functional optimization to meet timing and loss budgets.

Experience Level

Senior; 3+ years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform system-level signal integrity simulations for high-speed links (examples: NVLink 200G+, PCIe5, USB4, GDDR6, LPDDR5X).
  • Model vias, connectors, sockets and system components using 3D EM and 2.5D tools.
  • Design and optimize power delivery networks (PDN) across packages and PCBs; perform layout extraction and SPICE time-domain simulations.
  • Gather lab measurements and correlate them with models to improve SI/PI predictions.
  • Automate simulations, data collection, analysis and visualization using JMP, MATLAB or similar tools.
  • Work cross-functionally with package, PCB and ASIC teams to meet system-level timing and loss budgets.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of industry experience in signal and power integrity engineering.
  • Practical SI/PI experience with one or more interfaces such as PCIe, USB, SATA, HDMI, HBM, DDR5, GDDR6, LPDDR5X.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D EM tools (e.g., ANSYS HFSS, Q3D) and 2.5D tools (e.g., ANSYS SIWAVE) or equivalents.
  • PDN evaluation experience using layout extraction for packages/PCBs and SPICE-based time-domain simulation.
  • Background in system-level timing or loss budgeting that includes silicon, package and board impairments.

Nice-to-have:

  • Lab measurement and debugging experience; SI lab correlation using oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, VNA, TDR, ParBERT.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as JMP or MATLAB.
  • Knowledge of circuit design, board/package component design, link architecture and timing-budget methodologies.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent practical experience. (The posting explicitly lists Electrical Engineering and allows equivalent experience.)
