Job Title

Senior Signal and Power Integrity Engineer

Role Summary

Lead signal and power integrity analysis and modeling for high-performance AI systems, graphics cards, and Tegra platforms. Collaborate with VLSI, package, and PCB teams to design and optimize power delivery networks (PDNs) across dies, packages, boards, and voltage regulators.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 4+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include system-level simulation, PDN design and modeling, post-layout analysis, and cross-functional integration.

  • Perform system-level power integrity and signal integrity simulations for GPUs, AI systems, and Tegra platforms.
  • Model and optimize PDNs spanning die, package, board, and voltage regulator components.
  • Create and review package and board PDN guidelines and perform post-layout PI extraction and analysis.
  • Collaborate with VLSI, package, and PCB design teams to diagnose and resolve signal/power integrity issues.
  • Develop and validate models for regulators and on-die di/dt control techniques; evaluate decoupling impact across frequency ranges.
  • Automate analysis workflows and reporting through scripting.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong background in applied electromagnetics, transmission-line theory, and signal processing.
  • Experience in power integrity for core or I/O power and a strong understanding of decoupling effects across die/package/board.
  • Knowledge of on-die di/dt control techniques (e.g., dynamic clocking, throttling) and regulator behavior.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerSI, ANSYS HFSS/Q3D, ANSYS SIwave (or similar 2.5D tools), and 2D EM tools.
  • Familiarity with SIMPLIS for regulator modeling; experience modeling on-die di/dt control techniques is preferred.

Nice-to-have:

  • Expertise in regulator modeling and decoupling/capacitor technology and design.
  • Scripting experience for analysis automation.

Education Requirements

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred; equivalent practical experience is accepted.
