Senior RTL Silicon Design & Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate RTL for next-generation PCIe, CXL and related high-speed connectivity IP used in datacenter, acceleration, AI and communications products. Member of the AECG Product Validation and Solutions Team collaborating with global design, validation and silicon teams across pre-silicon and post-silicon phases.

Responsibilities
The role covers RTL design, verification, silicon bring-up and productization of connectivity IP.
- Design and productize PCIe, CXL and connectivity IP (Gen6/Gen7, TDISP, IDE, in-line DMA).
- Plan and execute pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation, including compliance and interop testing.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and review design and verification implementations.
- Lead silicon bring-up, validation activities and IP release processes.
- Develop FPGA prototypes and support system-level integration and prototyping.
- Document architecture, design and validation results; provide technical support during productization.
- Collaborate with global teams across sites and timezones to deliver production-ready IP.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience.
- Strong RTL coding and verification skills in SystemVerilog and Verilog.
- Experience with RTL simulation tools such as VCS and Modelsim.
- Practical experience with high-speed interfaces: PCIe, CXL, NVMe, Ethernet, DDR/LPDDR/HBM and AMBA protocols.
- Experience in pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation, including silicon bring-up and IP release.
- Familiarity with IP/SoC design methodologies and FPGA-based prototyping.
- Proficiency with scripting (Tcl, Perl, Python, Unix shells) and build tools (Makefiles).
- Effective communication and experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams.
Nice-to-have: experience with PCIe exercisers/analyzers (LeCroy/Viavi) and knowledge of C/C++.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering; 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
