- Act as primary technical interface for strategic customers integrating Broadcom Wi‑Fi chipsets.
- Support design‑in activities from concept through production.
- Debug complex hardware, firmware, driver, and system‑level Wi‑Fi issues.
- Analyze customer logs, protocol traces, and RF measurements to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with chipset design, firmware, software, validation, and RF teams to resolve issues.
- Optimize throughput, latency, roaming, coexistence, and power consumption.
- Perform RF performance characterization (EVM, spectral mask, ACLR, output power, receiver sensitivity, PER).
- Assist with board bring‑up, software integration, driver configuration, and manufacturing support.
- Create application notes, troubleshooting guides, and customer presentations; provide training.
- Manage multiple customer priorities and drive cross‑functional issue resolution.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate impact.
- 10+ years experience in wireless communications, application engineering, systems engineering, or field application roles.
- Strong expertise with Wi‑Fi standards including 802.11ac, 802.11ax (Wi‑Fi 6), and 802.11be (Wi‑Fi 7).
- Experience supporting Broadcom Wi‑Fi chipsets in commercial products.
- Solid understanding of MAC layer, PHY layer, RF architecture, antenna systems, and coexistence (Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth).
- RF measurement experience with Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, LitePoint, and wireless protocol analyzers.
- Ability to interpret EVM, ACLR, spectral emission masks, receiver sensitivity, PER, and throughput metrics.
- Excellent debugging and root‑cause analysis skills on hardware, firmware, and software stacks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated customer‑facing experience.
Nice‑to‑have:
- Familiarity with Linux kernel drivers and embedded software; scripting or automation experience (Python, shell) for wireless testing.
- Knowledge of RF front‑end modules (FEMs), LNAs, PAs, filters, antenna tuning, and Wi‑Fi certification/regulatory processes.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
