Senior RF/Analog Analysis and Characterization Engineer

Role Summary

Lead pre- and post-silicon analysis, characterization and bring-up of RF and analog circuit building blocks to ensure functional and performance specifications are met. Work across block and system levels with design and lab teams to identify, debug and resolve issues, and to define test and evaluation methods.

Senior - the posting requests more than 3 years of RF/Analog system or chip design experience.

Responsibilities

Accountable for activities that validate RF/Analog blocks and the integrated system from pre-silicon through lab bring-up and characterization.

• Define evaluation and test strategies for block and system-level RF/analog parameters.
• Develop driver definitions, fixes and mitigation strategies during pre-silicon phase.
• Bring up chips in the lab and perform performance evaluation and characterization.
• Debug block- and system-level issues and support design teams to resolve silicon problems.
• Optimize silicon system performance based on measurements and analysis.
• Define automation, tooling and data-collection flows for analysis and debugging.
• Analyze measurement data, produce statistics and generate formal datasheet parameters.
• Maintain full documentation of test results, findings and corrective actions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional competencies.

• Experience in RF/Analog system or chip design and characterization (more than 3 years).
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso (schematics and layout).
• Extensive experience with RF/Analog test equipment and laboratory measurement techniques; lab bring-up experience.
• Proven experience debugging and resolving complex silicon issues.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence peers and inform superiors.
• Team player who can mentor colleagues and drive deliverables; ability to set and meet goals and deadlines.
• Experience defining automation and tooling for data collection and analysis; basic data-analysis skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Python and LabVIEW experience for automation and data processing.
• Awareness of external competitive solutions and market trends.

Education Requirements

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred (as stated in the posting).
