Senior Reliability Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Reliability Engineer will develop and execute reliability strategies for electronic packaging, GPU modules, servers, and related systems. The role partners with component/package development, operations, and external labs to design tests, run failure analysis, and improve product robustness.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum of 8 years of experience in reliability engineering related to electronic packaging and modules.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing and delivering reliability programs and investigations across hardware products.
- Collaborate with component, package development, and operations teams to create reliability test plans for GPUs, servers, data centers, and automotive products.
- Develop new reliability methodologies and modeling for IC packages and GPU modules for new applications.
- Evaluate and improve reliability of mechanical parts and thermal cooling solutions.
- Coordinate and execute packaging reliability testing in internal and external laboratories.
- Lead failure analysis and root-cause investigations with cross-functional internal and external teams.
- Drive projects to completion with minimal supervision and provide technical leadership on reliability topics.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items indicate preferred strengths.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in reliability engineering for electronic packaging and modules.
- Hands-on experience with reliability testing and failure analysis of electronics products and components.
- Experience with reliability modeling tools and advanced AI or similar techniques applied to reliability.
- Proficiency with Design for Reliability (DfR) and/or finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
- Strong ability to lead failure analysis, coordinate cross-functional investigations, and work independently to deliver results.
Nice-to-have:
- Proven track record developing reliability methodologies for novel applications.
- Experience with latest thermal cooling technologies and mechanical reliability innovations.
- Demonstrated leadership in coordinating cross-functional teams on complex reliability problems.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in physical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field β or equivalent practical experience.
