Senior Reliability Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Manufacturing team to own reliability, qualification and life-testing across semiconductor-based hardware development programs. You will define reliability requirements, develop and execute qualification plans, analyse life-test data, and ensure issues are resolved before products reach the field.
This senior individual contributor role works closely with engineering, product, manufacturing and external partners. The role is UK-based and requires international travel to suppliers and partners in Asia, the US and Europe.

Responsibilities
Accountable for planning, executing and reporting reliability and qualification activities across product lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain reliability and qualification plans for semiconductor-based hardware.
- Define component, assembly and product-level reliability tests and acceptance criteria.
- Plan, oversee and manage life-test and qualification campaigns.
- Analyse reliability and life-test data; identify trends and likely failure mechanisms.
- Translate test results into clear, actionable engineering recommendations.
- Produce professional reliability reports for internal and customer-facing use.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and failure-analysis teams to resolve reliability issues.
- Work with external suppliers, test houses and manufacturing partners on test execution, corrective actions and audits.
- Support supplier visits, technical reviews and supplier audits of reliability work.
- Improve reliability processes, methodologies and reporting standards.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to specialist and non-specialist stakeholders.
- Own reliability activities from planning through final review and acceptance.

Must-have
- Significant industrial experience in semiconductor, electronics or hardware product reliability.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor devices, electronics and packaging.
- Proven experience developing and executing reliability, life-test and qualification plans.
- Ability to analyse complex datasets and draw practical engineering conclusions; identify trends and failure mechanisms.
- Experience working with external suppliers, manufacturing partners or test houses and reviewing/auditing their reliability work.
- Strong written and verbal technical communication skills, including producing professional reports.
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder-management and organisational skills; able to work independently and own projects.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in semiconductor product qualification and high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience working directly with OSATs or outsourced manufacturing partners.
- Familiarity with recognised semiconductor/electronics reliability standards and supplier auditing.
- Background in failure analysis or root-cause investigation.
- Experience building reliability programmes or processes and supporting customer reliability requirements.
- Exposure to data-centre, communications or other high-performance electronics environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally to suppliers and partners.
