Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Summary

Lead ongoing reliability testing (ORT) and ensure long-term product quality and reliability across design, manufacturing, and field deployment. Work cross-functionally with Design, Test, Manufacturing, Reliability and FA teams to identify reliability risks and drive corrective actions.

Primary focus on ORT strategy, qualification integration, failure analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement to meet customer and industry standards.

Experience Level

Senior — 5+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor product quality, reliability testing, or related fields.

Responsibilities

Responsible for designing and executing ORT and qualification activities, leading failure analysis, and driving reliability improvements.

• Lead and optimize ORT programs: sample selection, test setup, acceleration models, and data analysis.
• Define and implement ORT plans and stress tests tailored to product applications and use conditions.
• Attend design and production milestone meetings to assess long-term reliability risks and ORT requirements.
• Perform and review product qualifications (new products, second source, material/design/process changes) and ensure integration with ORT.
• Ensure product compliance with internal specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards.
• Communicate ORT plans, results, and reliability data to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Lead risk assessments (DFMEA/PFMEA), validate mitigation actions, and monitor via ORT.
• Conduct failure analysis for ORT and qualification failures and drive root-cause corrective actions.
• Publish qualification and ongoing reliability reports with clear risk assessments and recommendations.
• Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives related to reliability monitoring and ORT efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for the role.

• Strong understanding of semiconductors and semiconductor manufacturing processes (wafer fab, assembly, test) and their impact on reliability.
• Expert knowledge of industry quality and reliability standards and qualification methodologies (e.g., JEDEC, AEC, IPC).
• Extensive experience with Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT), reliability monitoring, and statistical data analysis (e.g., Weibull analysis).
• Proven experience with failure analysis workflows and quality tools (FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis).
• Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects and to communicate technical results to customers and stakeholders.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Willingness to undertake international travel at short notice.
