Job Title

Senior Program Manager, New Product Introduction (NPI)

Role Summary

Lead and deliver complex New Product Introduction programs from early prototyping through pilot manufacturing for hardware products. You will coordinate cross-functional teams — engineering, operations, and manufacturing — across geographies to ensure on-time, on-spec transitions to scalable manufacturing.

Lumilens builds photonics infrastructure for high-speed optical connectivity; this role supports productization of those hardware systems.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 15+ years of program management experience in NPI, preferably with switching, networking, or hardware manufacturing domains.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end execution and program control for NPI projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead NPI programs from concept and prototyping through pilot manufacturing and program closure.
  • Own program planning, schedules, milestones, and deliverables across all phases.
  • Coordinate and align cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to meet deadlines.
  • Drive planning and execution for early hardware prototyping and design transfers to manufacturing.
  • Identify program risks, develop mitigation plans, and report status to stakeholders.
  • Ensure readiness for manufacturing including robust design transfer and quality controls.
  • Maintain program documentation, tracking tools, and metrics.
  • Promote continuous improvement of program management processes and practices.

Requirements

Must-have technical and program management skills:

  • 15+ years of NPI program management experience, preferably in switching, networking, or other hardware domains.
  • Proven track record managing programs end-to-end across all project phases.
  • Experience leading programs from prototyping through pilot manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of hardware development processes and manufacturing fundamentals.
  • Experience working with distributed/global teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with project management tools, methodologies, and program reporting.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, and communication skills; collaborative mindset.
  • Nice-to-have: experience in photonics, optical interconnects, or semiconductor manufacturing.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
