Job Title

Senior Product/Test Engineer

Role Summary

Senior test engineer responsible for defining and delivering manufacturing test solutions for automotive MCU products from concept through production ramp. The role leads test strategy, DFT engagement, ATPG integration, silicon bring-up, qualification, and production release, working across Design, DFT, Product Engineering, Validation, Reliability and Manufacturing teams.

Experience Level

Senior-level β€” requires extensive industry experience. The posting specifies 10+ years of relevant semiconductor test engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver test methodology and production-ready test programs across NPI programs and support volume production.

  • Define and review DFT requirements and drive DFT/testability improvements.
  • Develop ATPG and scan test strategies; validate pattern generation and integrate ATPG into test flows.
  • Optimize scan testing for execution time, memory usage, multisite efficiency and throughput.
  • Lead first-silicon bring-up, debug ATPG/scan failures and resolve silicon correlation issues.
  • Perform scan diagnosis, yield learning, and root-cause analysis to reduce escapes and improve DPPM.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to close coverage gaps and meet quality/cost/manufacturing targets.
  • Develop reusable test frameworks and mentor engineers on test methodology and best practices.

Requirements

Core technical and hands-on skills required for the role. Preferred items listed separately.

  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, product engineering, DFT, ATPG, or manufacturing test development.
  • Hands-on expertise in scan ATPG, scan compression, fault simulation, scan diagnosis, MBIST/LBIST, boundary scan/JTAG, and silicon debug.
  • Experience with ATPG tools such as Siemens Tessent, Synopsys TestMAX/TetraMAX, or Cadence Modus.
  • Experience developing test programs for complex digital and mixed-signal ICs (MCU, embedded flash/NVM, SRAM) and scan-based manufacturing tests.
  • Familiarity with production ATE platforms (e.g., Teradyne UltraFLEX / IGXL, Advantest platforms).
  • Strong software and scripting skills: Python, C/C++, TCL, Perl; comfortable in Linux environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have / Preferred:

  • Experience with automotive MCU products and automotive quality requirements.
  • Understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety concepts and their test implications.
  • Experience in test automation, data analytics, statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP) and leading first-silicon yield ramps.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (as specified in the posting).
