Senior Product Test Engineer

Role Summary

Join Product and Test Engineering (PTE) to develop Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) solutions for silicon validation, characterization, and manufacturing enablement of Qualcomm SoC products. The role focuses on creating test programs, performing data reviews and characterization, and working with cross-functional teams to qualify and ramp products into production.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Posting specifies degree-dependent experience: typically 2–3+ years for Bachelor's holders, 1+ year for Master's holders; PhD candidates also considered.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include developing and validating test methods, running characterization flows, and supporting manufacturing enablement.

• Create, debug, and optimize ATE code and test methods for silicon validation and manufacturing (ATE platform work).
• Develop and execute characterization plans and participate in test-data reviews and analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Design, DFT, Process, Product, and Manufacturing engineers to resolve issues and enable product yield.
• Support New Product Introduction activities and transition tests into production test flows.
• Operate and validate using common lab/test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, time-interval/network analyzers).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and domain knowledge; nice-to-have items are marked.

• Must: Hands-on experience with Advantest 93K or Teradyne UFlex/IFlex ATE platforms.
• Must: Understanding of VLSI technologies and familiarity with digital baseband products.
• Must: Practical experience using common electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, time interval/network analyzers).
• Must: Familiarity with digital communication concepts and semiconductor device/physics fundamentals.
• Nice-to-have: Proficiency in programming or scripting (C/C++, VB, Java, Python).
• Nice-to-have: Experience with data analytics platforms such as O+, Data Power, Exensio.

Education Requirements

Qualifications listed: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field (with 2–3+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience); OR Master's degree in those fields (with 1+ year experience); OR PhD in relevant field. Related work experience in hardware engineering is accepted per posting.
