Job Title

Senior Product Security Engineer

Role Summary

Work in the Boise Product Security laboratory to validate and improve hardware security for advanced memory products. The role focuses on scaling fault injection (FI) and side-channel analysis (SCA) testing, developing automation for reproducible lab campaigns, and collaborating with global Product Security teams.

Responsibilities

Hands-on security validation, lab automation, and documentation to ensure reproducible testing and knowledge transfer across sites.

  • Plan and execute fault injection and side-channel analysis campaigns to validate mitigations using realistic attack scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain automation and orchestration frameworks for test execution, data capture, and analysis using Python and C/C++.
  • Set up and operate fault injection systems, test benches, and device-under-test configurations; separate control systems from hardware interaction layers to improve lab architecture.
  • Document procedures, calibration flows, and testing methodologies; standardize workstation setups and test execution for reproducibility.
  • Collaborate with global Product Security labs, participate in lab meetings, and support onboarding and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

Key technical requirements and preferred skills.

  • Must-have: 3+ years of experience in product firmware or embedded systems development (or equivalent project experience).
  • Must-have: Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
  • Must-have: Strong foundation in Linux or similar operating systems.
  • Must-have: Understanding of computer architecture or embedded systems and basic cybersecurity concepts.
  • Nice-to-have: Exposure to hardware security techniques such as fault injection, side-channel analysis, or reverse engineering.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with security tools (reverse engineering, network analysis, vulnerability scanning).
  • Nice-to-have: Embedded systems or FPGA experience; familiarity with distributed systems or automation frameworks.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent academic or project experience is acceptable.
