Role Summary
As a Senior Product Quality Engineer in NVIDIA's Quality and Reliability Group, you will support automotive chip products through new product introduction (NPI), production release, and customer support. The role leads failure analysis and root-cause investigations, coordinates cross-functional teams, and drives corrective/preventive actions to maintain and improve product quality.
Base salary ranges: 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD (Level 4); 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD (Level 5). Applications accepted through 2026-09-01.
Experience Level
Senior-level; typically 8+ years of hands-on experience in product, test, application, or quality engineering.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:
- Serve as quality representative for automotive NPI teams and internal quality processes.
- Coordinate multi-functional teams to align plans, methodologies, and failure-analysis solutions.
- Lead cross-functional root-cause investigations using the 8D process and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Lead failure analysis activities including chip-level ATE, system-level test (SLT), and silicon FA tasks.
- Create and verify effectiveness of 8D reports and corrective actions; analyze failure trends and recommend improvements.
- Report automotive quality metrics and represent product quality in CRB and MRB meetings.
- Provide DFMEA input and share lessons learned to mitigate design and production risks.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 8+ years in product/test/application/quality engineering with semiconductor chip products.
- Hands-on chip-level failure analysis and debug experience.
- Experience with Advantest V93000 tester and test-equipment bring-up.
- Familiarity with system-level testing and test methodologies.
- Exposure to digital design, circuit analysis, schematic review, statistical analysis, firmware/drivers, and diagnostic software.
- Comfortable using lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, curve tracers).
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and verbal/written communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with automotive products and automotive industry standards.
- Knowledge of GPU/CPU infrastructure, test methodology, and test-program troubleshooting.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
