Senior Product Lifecycle Manager — Optical Engine Architecture
Xscape PhotonicsJob Title
Senior Product Lifecycle Manager — Optical Engine Architecture
Role Summary
Lead product lifecycle and commercialization for optical engine products that address GPU-to-GPU and GPU-to-memory bandwidth bottlenecks. Work across engineering, customers, and partners to define MRDs, drive early sampling and pilot adoption, and align product targets with industry OCI-MSA standards.
Experience Level
Senior — typically requires 10+ years of product management or technical marketing experience in the semiconductor, photonics, or optical networking sectors.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:
- Define product roadmap and author Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) focused on high-bandwidth interconnects.
- Translate MRDs into detailed Product Requirements Documents in partnership with engineering leadership and the core Link Architect.
- Manage the product lifecycle, leading early sampling engagements, pilot programs, and customer adoption activities.
- Develop business cases that align cost, power, and performance targets with OCI-MSA requirements.
- Position the product relative to legacy technologies by articulating silicon photonics advantages.
- Coordinate with internal teams and supply-chain/OSAT partners to ensure manufacturability and commercial readiness for 2.5D and co-packaged optical systems.
Requirements
Core qualifications and skills.
Must-have:
- 10+ years of product management or technical marketing experience in semiconductor, photonics, or optical networking.
- Proven product leadership experience, preferably at tier-1 semiconductor or networking companies (e.g., Intel, Broadcom, Marvell, Cisco).
- Deep commercial understanding of high-speed optical links, Optical Engines (OE), and OCI-MSA architectures.
- Strong technical communication skills with ability to bridge link-level concepts across multidisciplinary engineering teams and external customers.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience aligning engineering teams and translating MRDs into highly detailed PRDs.
- Familiarity with ecosystem strategy and working with OSAT partners for supply-chain readiness.
- Ability to convert optoelectronic performance metrics (e.g., 800G–1.6T+ per lane) into clear customer value propositions.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
