Senior Product Engineer - Synthesis
Role Summary
Lead and deliver synthesis technology and workflows within the RTL-to-GDSII flow for complex digital IC designs. The role combines technical leadership, customer-facing deployment, and collaboration with R&D teams to drive roadmap and product improvements.
Based in Bangalore with periodic travel to other Siemens locations and customer sites.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, product roadmap execution, and customer deployment and support.
- Lead a team of engineers working on logic synthesis challenges.
- Collaborate with R&D to define and drive the synthesis product roadmap (RTL-to-GDSII).
- Engage with customers to deploy synthesis solutions, provide training, and resolve critical design issues.
- Support advanced technology-node designs (7 nm and below) and ensure tools meet performance, area, and power targets.
- Provide technical support, debugging, and delivery of solutions for complex design problems.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience required to perform the role.
- Must-have: Hands-on experience in logic synthesis flows and RTL-to-GDSII implementation.
- Must-have: Proficiency in Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL.
- Must-have: Practical experience with commercial synthesis tools such as Synopsys DC/FC and Cadence Genus.
- Must-have: Strong fundamentals in digital design, front-end EDA flows (synthesis, DFT, formal verification, logic equivalence checking), and debugging critical synthesis issues.
- Must-have: Experience with advanced technology nodes (7 nm and below).
- Nice-to-have: Scripting experience in TCL, Perl, or Python.
- Nice-to-have: Prior customer deployment or field-facing technical support experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
