Senior Product Engineer - RF

Role Summary

Technical leader responsible for development, verification, and production release of RF and mixed-signal transceiver products. Lead lab characterization, test automation, and cross-functional coordination from silicon bring-up through product release.

Mentor junior engineers and influence product strategy, test methodology, and verification approaches to ensure reliable, manufacturable products.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include evaluation, verification, automation, and cross-team product release activities.

  • Evaluate and characterize ADCs, DACs, high-speed serial interfaces, and RF systems for transceiver products.
  • Debug and analyze mixed-signal and RF systems across operating conditions; document and present findings.
  • Verify and release embedded software for system-level mixed-signal products; verify digital, DSP, and analog features.
  • Plan and perform detailed RF measurements (linearity, noise figure, EVM) on complex radio platforms.
  • Drive silicon and ARM software from early development to full production release.
  • Develop and automate test solutions using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
  • Recommend lab equipment and test strategies to improve test time, accuracy, and future platform migration.
  • Interface with design, test, application, software, marketing teams and customers to resolve product issues.
  • Analyze measurement data, present results to technical audiences, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools, and behavioral attributes.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience taking complex wireless platforms from development to market.
  • Proven experience automating RF tests and using lab equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes.
  • Deep knowledge of analog and RF circuits, high-speed serial interfaces, ADCs/DACs, and mixed-signal systems.
  • Programming experience in LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, or C/C++/C#.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work in multi-disciplined, multi-cultural teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or equivalent relevant experience.
