Job Title
Senior Product Engineer
Role Summary
Product Engineer supporting technical readiness, manufacturability, and production support for embedded MOSFETs in Smart Power Stage (SPS) products. Works across design, test, manufacturing, quality, and external assembly/test partners to drive NPI, validation, yield, and cost objectives.
Experience Level
Senior level. The posting specifies 3+ years of direct MOSFET product engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Accountable for MOSFET validation, test development, production readiness, and sustaining activities across NPI and volume production.
- Develop test scripts, test content, and automated test setups for MOSFET silicon validation.
- Support wafer-level testing and package-level FET characterization.
- Document test procedures, bring-up guidelines, and engineering reports from qualification and failure analysis.
- Monitor test and qualification data; analyze performance, failure modes, and reliability (RMA/FA).
- Drive sustaining cost and yield improvements: optimize yield, test time, and failure reduction.
- Manage process change risk via PCRB support for qualifications, second-source/material changes, and process migrations.
- Disposition abnormal or low-yield lots and resolve manufacturing/test issues with fabs, assembly, and test sites.
- Lead NPI activities from device definition and tape-out through fabrication, testing, qualification, and production release.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations, QA, Reliability, Factory, and OSAT partners.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required or strongly preferred.
-
Must-have: 3+ years direct experience in MOSFET product engineering.
-
Must-have: Experience with wafer-level test and discrete device testing; semiconductor packaging knowledge.
-
Must-have: Hands-on use of lab tools such as parameter analyzers and curve tracers.
-
Must-have: Proficiency in scripting (Python, Perl, or shell) for automation and data logging.
-
Must-have: Experience with engineering databases, automation, and statistical analysis tools (example: JMP).
-
Must-have: Familiarity with schematics, BOMs, and board/layout tools (Allegro, Altium, OrCAD).
-
Must-have: Understanding of semiconductor device physics and process/product development (wafer processing, assembly, test methods).
-
Nice-to-have: Prior Development NPI Product Engineering experience.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience improving test processes, yield, and COGS in production environments.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, able to take initiative and work effectively in teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering.
