Senior Product Engineer β Datacenter
Role Summary
As a Senior Product Engineer on the Datacenter team you will plan and establish production processes, define system-level test requirements, and optimize manufacturing for NVIDIA GPU server platforms (HGX/DGX). You will work with NPI, design, quality, and contract manufacturers to ramp new GPU boards into mass production and meet cost, throughput and quality targets.
Role includes collaboration across engineering groups, support for customer escalations, and eligibility for equity and benefits. Base salary ranges are provided below.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include production ramp, test development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with NPI and cross-functional teams to plan and execute production ramps at global manufacturing sites.
- Define and enforce DFx requirements to ensure signal integrity and manufacturability.
- Develop system-level manufacturing test specifications to achieve required hardware coverage and quality.
- Qualify alternate components and manage BOM updates.
- Work with contract manufacturers to define assembly line configuration, test station counts, and fixtures optimized for cost and throughput.
- Analyze volume data and perform lab experiments to resolve yield and test issues on the production floor.
- Lead optimization efforts to reduce waste and meet test time, yield, and DPPM targets.
- Support customer-facing and quality teams during escalations to identify gaps and implement fixes.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience in product, test, or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong engineering fundamentals; experience with GPU and/or CPU development, design, and system architecture.
- Knowledge of high-speed interconnects, memory technologies (HBM, GDDR), system reliability, and server RAS features.
- Experience with statistics, timing analysis, and fault analysis.
- Proven problem-solving skills using data analysis and lab validation.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills; able to work independently and drive projects to completion.
Nice-to-have:
- Board or system-level electrical design experience.
- Mass production and manufacturing operations experience.
- Track record of continuous process improvement and automation tooling.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
