Senior Product Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Provide technical leadership and primary customer support for high-speed TRx/ADC/DAC products used in aerospace, defense, instrumentation and communications (radar, 5G, LEO satellite, tester applications).
Work across software, product, production test, marketing, sales, and field teams to accelerate customer evaluation, prototyping and design-in, and to influence future product definition.

Responsibilities
Deliver hands-on technical support, system integration, and documentation to enable customer success with ADI mixed-signal products.
- Provide primary technical support for TRx / ADC / DAC products via phone, email, forums and on-site visits; diagnose and resolve implementation issues.
- Integrate and troubleshoot hardware and software on evaluation boards and prototype systems.
- Collaborate with marketing to capture customer system requirements and influence product roadmaps.
- Define and implement evaluation board architecture and release plans.
- Work with Systems, FPGA and Software teams to define and deliver DSP reference designs that accelerate customer adoption.
- Produce technical collateral: datasheets, application notes, training materials, and webinars.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical projects; travel up to ~10% for customer engagement.
Requirements
Core technical and interpersonal skills required to perform the role effectively. Degrees are summarized separately under Education Requirements.
- Strong fundamentals in high-speed data converters and radio signal chains; experience with RF and mixed-signal system design and debug.
- Familiarity with RF design specifications (IIP3, Noise Figure) and PLLs/filters is a plus.
- Comfort using bench test equipment (oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer).
- Programming and troubleshooting experience in embedded C; some experience with C and Python and understanding of APIs and software abstraction.
- Knowledge of DSP theory and algorithms (FFT, filtering, sample-rate conversion, equalizers, NCO, DDC); FPGA and DPD knowledge is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills; ability to present to technical and executive audiences.
- Planning and organization: set priorities, manage risks and deliverables, and make timely decisions.
- Team player with a pragmatic mindset and strong work ethic.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. The position typically expects 5+ years of relevant experience in product applications engineering, customer technical support, or similar roles.
