Senior Product and Test Engineer

Role Summary

Validate and debug new silicon, develop ATE hardware and software, and release production test solutions for advanced packaging and high-volume manufacturing. The role works within Product Engineering and partners with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, test engineering) to define and implement test methodologies and characterization plans.

Experience Level

Senior. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's plus 2+ years of hardware engineering experience, or Master's plus 1+ year, or PhD. Experience in silicon bring-up, ATE platforms, and production test environments expected.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Validate and debug new silicon during bring-up and characterization phases.
  • Develop ATE hardware and software for device testing and automation.
  • Characterize device performance across process corners and operating conditions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop test methodologies for advanced packaging technologies.
  • Release cost-effective production test solutions into mass production and support yield ramp.
  • Document test plans, results, and support continuous improvement in test coverage and efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up, device validation, and production test environments.
  • Experience with ATE platforms or equivalent automated test systems.
  • Knowledge of VLSI concepts, semiconductor device behavior, processor systems, CMOS, and analog/mixed-signal circuits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Advantest 93K SOC test systems and high-volume manufacturing test flows.
  • Design-for-test (DFT) techniques and structural tests such as Scan/ATPG, JTAG, and memory BIST.
  • Experience testing CPUs and advanced packaging technologies.
  • Programming/scripting experience: C/C++, Perl, JMP or similar tools for data analysis and test automation.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering field (with 2+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience). Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (with 1+ year relevant experience). A PhD in the same fields is also acceptable.
