Senior Process Integration Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Process Integration Engineer will lead integration and technology-transfer activities to scale advanced DRAM nodes into high-volume production at Micron's Boise fabrication facility. The role focuses on yield ramp, resolving complex process interactions, and qualifying processes, tools, and materials across cross-functional teams.

This position requires technical ownership of modules through failure analysis, DOE-driven process improvements, and coordination with global teams to achieve production readiness.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 5+ years semiconductor fab or HVM experience with at least 3 years in process integration, yield ramp, or quality improvement.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include leading integration activities, driving yield and quality improvements, and coordinating cross-functional qualification and ramp efforts.

  • Own module integration, lead root cause analysis and rapid failure investigation.
  • Drive yield, cost, and quality improvements using data-driven methods.
  • Design and execute DOE to improve capability, margin, and stability.
  • Lead technology transfer and yield ramp from TD or HVM fabs into Boise (ID1).
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to qualify processes, tools, and materials.
  • Resolve complex process interactions affecting yield and reliability.
  • Ensure production readiness and sustain best-in-class manufacturing performance.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience are listed first; preferred skills follow.

  • 5+ years of semiconductor fabrication or HVM experience, including memory technologies.
  • 3+ years in process integration, yield ramp, or quality improvement.
  • Strong understanding of transistor operation, device scaling, and reliability.
  • Experience with DOE, data analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for training and to work shift schedules as needed.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in DRAM integration, TD, or yield analysis in 300mm environments.
  • Knowledge of technology transfer and high-volume manufacturing scale-up.
  • Experience with FMEA, 8D, SPC, or FDC methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required. Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
