Job Title

Senior Principal System Performance Architect

Role Summary

Define and evaluate SoC and system-level performance for data center and networking infrastructure. Work in a small cross-functional team to translate system and IP roadmaps into achieved, measurable performance across models, RTL, FPGA and silicon.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 10 years of SoC/system performance experience (models, RTL simulation, emulation or FPGA).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define SoC system and subsystem use-case performance and analysis requirements.
  • Drive performance analysis and testing from models through RTL.
  • Partner with system architects, IP and technology teams to translate vision and roadmaps into performant systems.
  • Engage with modeling, RTL, FPGA, silicon and software specialists across the organization.
  • Explore and challenge limits of system and IP performance capabilities.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills:

  • 10+ years of SoC/system performance experience using models, RTL simulation, emulation or FPGA.
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure system architecture and performance, including multi-die coherent memory systems and high-speed IO interfaces (e.g., PCIe).
  • Strong analytical focus on performance, power and area optimization.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in small teams; high initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to present detailed analysis and high-level summaries to stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with the Arm architecture.

Education Requirements

University degree (or equivalent practical experience) or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related technical field; equivalent experience accepted.
