Job Title
Senior Principal System Architect – Integrated Power Products
Role Summary
Define and drive system architecture and product concepts for next-generation integrated power products (Smart Power Stages, Hot‑Swap Controllers, eFuses, integrated MOSFET solutions). Work across device design, gate driver design, packaging, validation and product engineering to translate customer requirements into product specifications and validated architectures.
This is a technical leadership role focused on system-level electrical and thermal modelling, integration trade-offs, reliability, and supporting customer technical engagements.
Experience Level
Senior — demonstrated technical leadership. Role description specifies 8–12 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include defining architectures, validating interactions between components, and leading cross-functional technical delivery.
- Define system architectures and product concepts for integrated power solutions.
- Translate system-level requirements into detailed product and MOSFET specifications (efficiency, thermal, reliability, protection).
- Specify and validate gate driver and MOSFET interactions, including switching, timing and parasitic effects.
- Develop electrical, thermal and performance models to evaluate feasibility and optimise architectures.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges related to integration, measurement and reliability.
- Collaborate with device, driver, packaging, applications, validation and product teams.
- Support customer technical engagements and early-stage evaluations.
- Lead root-cause investigations and drive improvements for performance and reliability.
- Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and strategic product direction.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring across multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Deep understanding of power MOSFET design, characteristics and operation.
- Strong knowledge of gate driver design and driver–device interactions.
- Experience with integrated power products (Smart Power Stages, Hot‑Swap Controllers, eFuses or similar).
- System-level power electronics architecture and optimisation experience.
- Experience developing electrical, thermal and system-level models (SPICE, LTspice, SIMetrix, MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent).
- Understanding of semiconductor packaging, assembly technologies and reliability methodologies.
- Proven ability to convert complex customer requirements into practical product solutions; customer-facing experience in technical discussions and design reviews.
- Experience driving cross-functional development projects in a global environment and demonstrated technical leadership.
-
Nice-to-have: knowledge of multi-chip and integrated package technologies; track record of defining product architectures from concept through release.
Education Requirements
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
