Role Summary

Lead and deliver strategic GaN product and technology developments across multiple sites. Act as a technical authority to drive device performance, integration, process improvements, and product roadmaps for wide bandgap semiconductor solutions.

Experience Level

Senior-level — typically 7+ years' experience in semiconductor R&D or product development with a record of leading complex technical programmes.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities involve technical leadership, cross-site programme delivery, and driving product performance for GaN devices.

• Lead strategic, business-critical GaN R&D programmes across multiple locations.
• Serve as recognised technical expert for GaN and wide bandgap technologies.
• Own device and product performance, functionality, and integration with system-level applications.
• Develop and deliver innovative technical solutions to advance GaN products and reduce time-to-market.
• Analyse technology and market trends to inform product and technology roadmaps.
• Provide technical guidance to internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners.
• Drive process improvements and mentor engineering staff to build capability.

Requirements

Essential skills and experience needed for success in this role.

• Deep expertise in GaN or other wide bandgap semiconductor technologies.
• Strong understanding of device physics, semiconductor processing, and product development.
• Experience connecting device-level design to system-level application performance and requirements.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative solutions.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability for project and technical deliverables.
• Strategic thinking and ability to influence technology direction and roadmaps.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills in a global environment.
• Experience mentoring engineers and building technical capability across teams.
• Nice-to-have: background in power discrete products and multi-site programme coordination.

Education Requirements

Degree or equivalent in Semiconductor Physics, Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, or a closely related technical field. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
