Senior Principal GPU Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify complex GPU IP blocks and subsystems to ensure functional correctness, performance, and first-pass silicon success. Work across architecture and design teams to deliver production-quality IP.

Lead verification strategy and execution: develop verification plans, build scalable SystemVerilog/UVM environments, mentor engineers, and drive verification closure and sign-off.

Senior-level — requires 13+ years of verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, and delivering verification for GPU IP and subsystems.

• Develop and execute verification plans for GPU IP blocks (vector graphics, shader cores, memory interfaces, caches).
• Design and build scalable SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments with reusable agents, monitors, and scoreboards.
• Develop models for GPU command processing, memory transactions, and cache coherency.
• Lead and mentor junior verification engineers and coordinate verification tasks across teams.
• Own end-to-end IP verification sign-off and drive verification closure.
• Manage regression suites and debug complex RTL and testbench failures.
• Track coverage metrics and report progress toward verification goals.
• Collaborate with global design and architecture teams to ensure performance and first-pass silicon success.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.

• 13+ years of experience in functional verification (GPU/IP emphasis preferred).
• Strong skills in SystemVerilog, UVM, and Verilog.
• Solid understanding of functional verification methodologies, assertions (SVA), and coverage-driven verification.
• Proven ability to debug complex RTL and testbench issues and manage regressions.
• Experience building reusable UVM components (agents, monitors, scoreboards) and verification infrastructure.
• Experience owning IP verification sign-off and tracking coverage/closure metrics.
• Strong leadership and mentoring experience.
• Nice-to-have: experience with formal verification techniques.
