Senior Principal Engineer - IP Verification
Role Summary
Individual Contributor engineer responsible for leading and delivering first-pass success for complex digital IP and subsystem verification programs. Works across System Architecture, Design, DFT, Mixed-Signal and Validation teams to solve verification challenges using simulation, formal methods, hardware modeling and pre/post-silicon validation.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Preferred 15β20 years of hands-on IP or subsystem verification experience for large, multi-million gate designs.
Responsibilities
Accountable for verification strategy, execution and quality for complex IP and subsystems.
- Lead end-to-end verification planning and execution to achieve first-pass silicon success.
- Define and deploy advanced, scalable verification methodologies and automation.
- Establish and own verification quality metrics across planning, execution and closure.
- Drive defect prevention, coverage closure and a "zero defect" mindset.
- Analyze and improve verification flows for efficiency and predictability.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams (Design, DFT, Architecture, Validation).
- Support pre-silicon and post-silicon validation activities as required.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers; influence team technical direction.

- 15β20 years of hands-on IP or subsystem verification experience for complex, multi-million gate designs.
- Strong expertise in HVLs: SystemVerilog and UVM; proficiency in C/C++.
- Proficient with HDLs (Verilog / VHDL) and industry simulators (VCS, NCSim, ModelSim, Questa).
- Experience in testbench architecture, development, debugging, regression management and verification closure.
- Skilled in test planning, feature traceability, functional and performance validation.
- Knowledge of assertions (SVA), functional coverage and regression infrastructures.
- Understanding of microcontroller/ARM architectures and interconnect protocols (AHB, AXI, AMBA).
- Experience with memory subsystems (SRAM, Flash, DDR) and memory controllers.
- Demonstrated ownership, collaboration across global teams, strong communication, and mentoring ability.
Nice-to-have
- Exposure to formal verification methodologies and tools.
- Experience with gate-level simulation, emulation and pre-silicon validation environments.
- Domain knowledge in automotive, graphics/vision accelerators, high-speed serial interfaces or networking (Ethernet).
- Experience with verification planning tools and large-scale automation efforts.
