Senior Principal Engineer, Emulation and IP Verification
Role Summary
Lead emulation and IP verification efforts to validate high-speed interface IP (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet) using Zebu or similar platforms. Work with IP development and design teams to define emulation IP requirements, ensure integration into verification flows, and improve pre-silicon validation quality.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on closing capability gaps between emulation platforms and IP verification needs, defining technical requirements, and driving cross-functional verification strategy.
- Define technical requirements and acceptance criteria for emulation IP and ensure correct implementation and integration with IP/design verification flows.
- Develop and validate emulation-based test plans for PCIe, DDR, and Ethernet controllers and PHYs across functional and performance domains.
- Track emulation IP quality metrics, identify trends and gaps, and recommend improvements that reduce silicon risk.
- Translate standards updates, ECNs, and errata into actionable verification requirements for emulation and design teams.
- Standardize verification workflows and best practices across global, matrixed teams to improve efficiency and reduce rework.
- Mentor engineers on emulation strategy, IP verification techniques, and coverage-driven verification practices.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience needed to perform the role effectively; a small set of preferred items follows.

- Must-have: Deep protocol knowledge of PCIe and DDR, including verification strategies and corner cases.

- Must-have: Proven experience driving or contributing to IP product development with a focus on emulation-based verification.
- Must-have: Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across global, matrixed teams.
